With the advice of a pharmacist/trainer, many high school basketball, and my own personal basketball workouts, I have created an example workout for one day of basketball training.
1. Squat 3 x 10
2. Reverse Leg Curls 3 x 8
3. Weighted Lunges 3 x 10
4. Weighted Defensive Slides 2 x 30 meters
CIRCUIT- 3 workouts alternating with each one
1. 3 x 15 box jumps
2. 3 x 8 bicep curls
3. 3 x 12 Close Grip Pushups
ABS
1. 2 x 30 Scissors
2. 2 x 60 seconds plank
3. One minute all out sit ups
This is an example of a typical basketball workout a player would do that would involve lots of leg workouts and plenty of plyometrics so that they can prepare for in game situations, in the weight room.
